Our History

Greg and Beth Ernst are the owners of Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson. We're from St. Louis, Missouri (less snow, more cold). Beth and I met at school, and were married a few years after graduating. We pursued different career paths, but eventually both of us ended up working for Beth's dad at Advance Carpet. We started with one store, and after a lot of hard work, and the assistance of an outstanding staff, Beth and I grew the company to 9 floor covering stores. We became the largest floor covering retailer in the St. Louis market. Carpet One, a world-wide floor covering cooperative, was impressed with our concept and bought our stores. Our stores were the only company-owned stores in the entire country.

When our boys graduated high school, Beth and I decided we would like to get into retail again. My passions are riding, hunting, fishing, and hockey... in that order. We of course have Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but we also have other bikes. Motorcycles became the obvious choice, and Harley-Davidson® motorcycles became the goal. I like to think of Harley-Davidson motorcycles as a rider's motorcycle. You can ride all day, with confidence and comfort, and make great friends along the way. We have made friends from L.A. to D.C. while riding. For us, Harley-Davidson is so much more than great motorcycles. We feel blessed to be living here in the Pacific Northwest, and blessed again to be operating the Harley-Davidson here.

In St. Louis, we had four very strong family groups: Beth's parents and extended family, my parents and extended family, our youth hockey family, and our H.O.G. family. Here at Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson we are starting over with our new family, our H.O.G. family. We are very involved in the H.O.G. chapter and have made many new friends.

What kind of owners can you expect of us? Active. Involved. Friendly. Fair. Focused. Fun. Appreciative. Accommodating. Innovative. Non-Conformist. Beth's father taught both of us an important lesson many years ago, which we have followed to this day: If you TRULY treat your customers, and employees, and vendors like family, they will treat you like family, and your relationships will be long-term. That's what you can expect from us. Simple. Honest. Real.

Why "Lone Wolf" Harley-Davidson? Many riders consider them self, while on the road, a lone wolf. Riding in a pack can be a very individualistic experience, even in that group setting. Plus, the name, at least around this neck of the woods, stirs up a little bit of controversy. It seems like half of the people here hate the wolves and the other half, well, don't. We've got Wolf Lodge Mountain here, Wolf Lodge Steakhouse, the Timber Wolves high school mascot, and a wolf facility just up the road. Wolves are in the paper just about every day. Nothing wrong with a little attitude in a name.

To be continued...

To our loyal customers we thank you for your continuing business and support. Those of you who haven't been by yet, we are committed to bringing you the best service and if we don't have what you are looking for, we will find it. We want to be YOUR Harley-Davidson dealer.
